PRIMARY READY

5 PILLARS OF PRIMARY SCHOOL READINESS

At Beaconhouse PeiKen, our comprehensive early years approach ensures that every child develops the intellectual, linguistic, and emotional maturity required to transition seamlessly into formal primary school environments.

Children develop strong communication and literacy skills in Mandarin, English, and Bahasa Malaysia through stories, songs, conversations, and hands-on activities. Programmes such as Jolly Phonics, Odonata Chinese Graded Readers, Decodable Readers, and Bacalah Anakku Readers support reading confidence and language mastery from an early age.

Delivered primarily in Mandarin, children are introduced to numbers, patterns, problem-solving, and mathematical concepts through songs, games, and engaging activities that make learning fun and meaningful.

Through play-based exploration in both Mandarin and English, children discover the world around them through STEM learning, interactive smart board activities, experiments, and educational field trips that inspire curiosity and critical thinking.

Creativity flourishes through Art & Crafts, Music & Movement, Computer activities, and interactive technology. Conducted in Mandarin, English, and Bahasa Malaysia, these experiences encourage self-expression, imagination, and confidence.

Children develop independence, resilience, teamwork, and communication skills through group activities, collaborative projects, and presentations such as concerts and performances, helping them build confidence and positive relationships.

Children strengthen their gross and fine motor skills through gymnastics, swimming in our indoor pool, outdoor learning experiences, games, and practical life activities that promote coordination, health, and wellbeing.
